The following is the first invitation sent out by NightSkyMun:
Dear Fellow Deviant,
Hello! I have decided to at least attempt to organize a little competition between DA artists As of late, and was hoping you might be interested. I have done a lot of research over the past few weeks, and I have chosen you along with about 75 (And counting) other artists, whom I am inviting to participate in this event. If it goes well this first time, there may be more in the future! Some among you are more obvious choices than others, as to why you were chosen, but along with the help of a few of my Arts Village friends, we have decided that you are up to the challenge. While many of you have submitted works that would meet the requirements already, these pieces have already been reviewed, and are possibly the reason you have been invited. This is a contest aimed at getting you to try something new, so we would like to see what you come up with. Anything submitted after April 2nd is eligible to be entered in this deviant challenge.
Why participate? This challenge was an idea I came up with to challenge people to do new things. Not only is this challenge good practice, but it is a way for you to show off all of your artwork. At the end of the contest, I will create a new deviant account that will favorite all of the submissions for this and possible future contests, along with posting winners and future contest information.
The First Challenge: To create an artwork showing a transformation from a human into cow.
As there are a large number of people being asked to participate, there will also be a few categories, all closely related, but different enough that like pieces can be compared.
Categories:
1) Photomanipulation
2) Sequence of three
3) One frame, mid transformation
4) Literature
Sub Categories
a) More than 1 artist
for categories 2 and 3
b) B&W sketch
c) Hand colored
b) Computer Colored
Judging: Hopefully, judging will begin on May 1st. (DELAYED!)I will select a group of Arts Village students to make up a panel of judges to select first, second, and third places for each sub category, a best of category winner, and a best of show winner. Pieces will be judged on the following:
-thought put into the piece
-effort put into the piece
-expression of emotion
-craftsmanship
-picture quality
I anticipate seeing your artwork!

Contest draws to a close!
For the first contest, this isn't too bad of a turn out so far, so we have decided to close this competition as of May 16th at midnight, and voting results will be posted probably by the 17th, some time during the day. Following postings, I will ask the winners (probably anyone who submits something will be involved in the voting process) and I will then post what the competition agreed upon will be! If you couldn't participate this time, the next competition will open as soon as it is posted, and will tentatively close May 29th. I would then like to start the third competition June 1st. Good luck, go to work, and most importantly, have fun!!

Cow TF- latest news
Well, it is finals week here at BGSU, and I am taking a time out from my studies to do a little work on this competition. Started by NightSkymun, the competition submissions will be hosted in the Favorites section of this deviant page, and the Journal will serve to send out the latest updates.
